Explain why radical liberal Democrats scoff at religion & the war on terror-but never voice objection to jihad

Why was the beheading of one of their own ( and others ) , quickly swept away as though yesterday's weather ? And the humiliation of the murdering , insurgent prisoners at abu Grabbe was , and is a constant "battle cry" for the left in their war on the war on terror ? What's up with that ?
