How do I find the record for James Ernest Waldron born 10/4/1883 and served as a light horseman in WWI?

James had a problem with his left leg and used to mount horses with his right foot. He trained men to ride for the light horse brigade. He came from "Waterloo Station" and contracted TB during the war later dying of it.. He owned an hotel in Inverell for some time and was married to Violet Rebbeck. He received a Veterans Affairs pension. Any information about him would be appreciated.
