What are the red blotches beside my nose?

Several months ago I noticed a small red patch on the left on my nose. For the past few months it has been getting bigger, and as of a few days ago, a red spot on the other side of my nose appeared. Dry skin forms very often over the red spots. If you don't look closely, it looks like a dark patch of acne. I have tried evrything on them, but every time it looks like it's getting better, it gets worse again. I don't think it's a fungal infection. It doesn't look like ringworm. Does anyone know what it is and or how to get rid of it?
